Her work gained international attention when she was featured as the Retreat Facilitator in the BAFTA award-winning Channel 5 documentary White Nanny Black Child. In this moving and groundbreaking film, Abi created a brave and sacred space for nine participants, who shared their personal stories of being privately fostered by white families between the 1960s and 1990s—a journey shared by 70,000 Nigerian children, including Abi herself. The documentary, which also won a Royal Television Society Award, has opened up important conversations around identity, belonging, and healing.

Since 2019, Abi has been leading Healing Heart Circle Retreats across the UK, Europe, and Africa, helping women leaders reconnect with themselves and rediscover their inner strength. Her retreats offer a blend of personal growth, healing, and leadership expansion.

As a passionate advocate for holistic and natural healing, Abi also travels extensively across Africa, sourcing indigenous organic essential oils and working closely with tribes to understand their healing properties. Her commitment to this knowledge ensures that her retreats and teachings are infused with the power of natural remedies, empowering women to experience profound healing.

Abi’s latest book, Becoming Visible, is her deeply moving memoir that explores the themes of identity and belonging, offering readers a personal account of her experiences with private fostering and the journey toward visibility and self-empowerment.

Beyond her work in retreats, Abi also trains women to become circle facilitators, equipping them with the tools and knowledge to deliver healing within their communities. This work creates a legacy of self-care and leadership, causing ripple effects of improved mental and emotional health across generations.
